The specially-built Yacht 42’ is retired from the US Navy, now the boat becomes a Coast Guard-inspected boat to offer a smooth ride on the ocean. She was completely refitted, done by early 2022. All our charters are captained by a master captain and an experienced crew who are drug tested and trained as well and approved by the Los Angeles County Department of Beach and Harbors to run out of Marina Del Rey, so you can feel confident that you are hiring a reputable charter with proper safety inspections, licenses, and insurances. Captain Joss is a Coast Guard licensed captain who grew up on the southern coast of France. He has over 16 years of experience as a tuna fisherman on the Mediterranean, and part of that time was spent captaining his own tuna fishing boat. Opportunity and adventure brought him to his adopted home of LA where he spent many years in the hospitality and tourism industry. But the sea never left him.
He eventually started California Dream Tours in 2011 as a way to combine his love of the open waters and his desire to share that with people.
